It's Time to Relax and Enjoy at this Year's Picnic!!
Our 2009 year-end picnic will be at Cox Air Field in Apex. Claude Burkhead (and fellow aviation enthusiasts) will provide a tour of the hangars and answer any questions. Some of the aircraft on hand include planes used for aerobatics, WWII military training, and business aviation.
We will have a presentation of our annual awards to distinguished volunteers & members. We will also hold our elections for the upcoming 09-10 year.
This event is free for all RSVP attendees. Spouses & children are welcome and encouraged to attend. Student Section members are highly encouraged to attend. This is a great opportunity to socialize and network with other members!
Dinner will be pig picking fare catered by a local restaurant so RSVP's are required in order to get an accurate headcount. Please register for everyone coming in your group by May 19th at 4 PM.
Attire is casual. In case of bad weather the picnic will be held in the hangar at the airfield.
Exercise extreme caution as aircraft may be taxiing on the grass during day or night. Park your car on the grassy slope. Don't drive, park, or walk on the top (flat) portions of the hill - - its a runway!
